Hijrah Selangor Is Here to Help Micro-Businesses

Assalamualaikum and greetings all,

Hijrah Selangor consolidated SKIMSEL, MIMBAR and WALA micro-credit schemes into one micro-credit platform in 2015, providing a more efficient model to channel additional capital to the state’s micro-businesses. During the MCO, the Selangor Prihatin packages have introduced the moratorium option to HIJRAH recipients for a duration of 3 months starting from March until May 2020. This initiative has benefited about 40,000 recipients who were affected by the pandemic.  

As a follow up, the State Government has introduced Selangor Kerjaya, an initiative under the Capacity Building pillar of the Selangor Economic Recovery Plan that was presented on 13 July 2020, to facilitate the matching of job opportunities to ideal candidates using big data. Selangor Kerjaya  is specifically aimed to help the rakyat of Selangor in addressing the issue of unemployment after being hit by the recent pandemic.
