The Sky is the Limit with Selangor Aerospace Action Plan

Back in 2017, Selangor companies contributed 62% of the RM6.2 billion that MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) activities added to the national revenue, while their manufacturing activities added another RM6.6 billion. The Selangor Aerospace Action Plan 2020-2030 was planned and announced to leverage on these activities, which are expected to generate a total of RM20.4 billion and RM21.2 billion respectively by 2030.

This focus on aerospace industries was carried into the Selangor Economy Recovery Plan 2020, where RM58 million has been channeled for big data applications to upskill the Selangor workforce and provide job opportunities for 10,000 citizens across 3 years. The Selangor Government is trying to recover while building a more dynamic and resilient human resource to take the state forward under the Capacity Building pillar of the Selangor Economic Recovery Plan.

Graduates of aeronautics, aerospace, communications and defense can now rejoice, as we all look promisingly at the prospect of Selangor becoming an attractive destination for investors.
