Subang Jaya, Selangor's Proud Third City.

Congratulations Subang Jaya for becoming our third city after Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya! It is certainly well-deserved and long overdue for the self-sufficient city.

Subang Jaya started off in 1976 as a satellite township in the Petaling district to a burgeoning Kuala Lumpur, before developing into a major suburban town of its own. Subang Jaya is home to high-performing schools, acclaimed international schools, colleges and universities - it is also known for its numerous hipster cafes, foodie joints and its youth culture is vividly celebrated. The Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) is among the best hospitals in Klang Valley and Subang Jaya as a whole is home to a healthy, diverse and inclusive community.

Mayor YBrs. TPr. Noraini Binti Roslan stated her vision to make Subang Jaya one of the Top 30 cities in the world. In her special press conference, she presented the new MBSJ logo and tagline “Gemilang Bersama”. Proof of Subang Jaya’s healthy economic status is the fact that it has never reviewed and increased its Assessment Tax since 1997. The mayor will only be looking to review it for the first time next year to match its current status as a city.
