Selangor Kini: Repair work on burst main at Jalan Bukit Cerakah expected to completed tomorrow, supply restored by Wednesday - Air Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — Emergency work to repair a burst main in Jalan Bukit Cerakah, Bandar Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor is 35.6 per cent complete according to the set schedule and water supply to the affected areas is expected to be fully restored by 9pm on Wednesday.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement today said the repair work is expected to be completed by 3am tomorrow and water supply will begin to be gradually distributed to users after the water supply system is stabilised and fully restored.

“Air Selangor will continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral parlours,” the statement said.

The repair work involves a main pipeline measuring 2,200 millimetres in diameter and a large-scale distribution area
