Selangor Kerjaya - Towards a More Resilient Workforce using Big Data
The global lockdown from the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the issue of low job opportunities, while also increasing unemployment rates. Via Selangor Kerjaya, the state government is taking a strategic approach to quell these concerns by harnessing the power of big data to profile Selangor competency and talents before offering new skills, upskilling and reskilling assistance. A RM58 million commitment is proof of the state's determination to bring down its unemployment rate by 5% over the next 3 years via offering job security to 10,000 citizens.
Dealing with the aftermath of the global lockdown requires a strategic and holistic approach. The state government hopes that it will be able to provide for a more resilient workforce that is more ready to face the challenges of the new normal.
