Selangor Journal: Tanjung Sepat handing out subsidies for tomorrow’s Jualan Ehsan Carnival

SHAH ALAM, July 6 — The Tanjung Sepat state constituency will subsidise essential items during the Jualan Ehsan Carnival in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha, at Dataran Pantai Batu Laut tomorrow.

Its state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah said the RM2 subsidy is provided by the Tanjung Sepat Community Service Center, for the purchase of every unit of chicken, chicken eggs and beef.

“Please prepare sufficient small change, to facilitate and launch the purchase. First come, first serve,” he in a Facebook post.

The subsidy provided reduces the price of a chicken from RM15 to RM13, grade B chicken eggs from RM12 to RM10 per tray, and beef from RM35 to RM33 per kg.

The other two items will be sold at their regular prices, including cooking oil and frozen fish at RM2 per packet and RM8 per packet, respectively.

This is the second time the subsidy is provided in Tanjung Sepat, with the first time on April 28 in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

However, the previous subsidy only involved chickens and eggs with an allocation of RM6,000 for 2,000 chickens and 1,000 trays of eggs.

The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) is organising an affordable sale of daily necessities for four days in a row in five locations, starting yesterday for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations.
