Selangor Aerospace Council Vol. 2/2025
Today I chaired the Selangor Aerospace Council Vol. 2/2025. Selangor continues to lead Malaysia’s aerospace sector, contributing more than 63% to national growth. This year, we remain focused on advancing the RS-1 vision, strengthening the Selangor Aviation Show, and developing the Selangor Drone Centre of Excellence (SDCoE) with Invest Selangor Berhad.
The State Government has also introduced the Selangor Aerospace Action Plan (SAAP) to position Selangor as a top aerospace hub in Asia. Invest Selangor reported encouraging progress, with many action plans already moving through the stages of initiation, planning, implementation, and completion.
Malaysia’s aerospace workforce is projected to reach 29,900 people in 2024, with an additional 1,600 skilled workers needed over the next two years. In 2023, Selangor recorded 14,300 skilled workers showing the state’s strong commitment to building talent and supporting the industry’s growth.
This meeting also generated constructive ideas and discussions to further strengthen Selangor’s aerospace ecosystem. Insya-Allah, Selangor is on the right path to becoming a leading aerospace player regionally and globally.
