Opening of the Malaysia International Water Convention (MIWC) 2025
I attended the opening of the Malaysia International Water Convention (MIWC) 2025 at WTC Kuala Lumpur, officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA).
With the theme “Harnessing Water Potential: Empowering Opportunities, Technology, and Innovations,” MIWC 2025 underscores global efforts to drive innovation and sustainability in the water sector.
In line with Malaysia’s Water Sector Transformation 2040 (AIR 2040), Selangor continues to strengthen water security through innovation, policy reforms, and river rehabilitation. These collaborations show that by working together, we can build a truly sustainable future.
In my remarks, I emphasised Air Selangor’s commitment to securing water supply, improving efficiency, and protecting the environment. With the support of LUAS in river and resource management, we are ensuring clean, reliable, and affordable water for all.
Our vision is clear. Air Selangor as a leading and sustainable water utility by 2030, and Selangor as a model water state by 2040. This is not just aspiration but action, supported by strong policies and collective will.
