Official launch of the IoT-Enabled Industrial Parks (IEIP)
After the opening of SIBS 2025, I witnessed the official launch of the IoT-Enabled Industrial Parks (IEIP), a strategic initiative led by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) through its digital-infrastructure arm, Smartsel Sdn. Bhd.
IEIP is designed to sharpen Selangor’s industrial competitiveness, accelerate digital transformation, and build a more sustainable ecosystem, further cementing our position as Malaysia’s leading industrial and digital hub.
The programme maps 17 key industrial parks statewide, 70% of which are assessed as ready to move into the next phase of IoT enablement. Planned upgrades include pervasive 5G connectivity, AI-driven capabilities, and intelligent infrastructure to support high-value, technology-driven and sustainable operations.
With this framework, Selangor is poised to attract quality, responsible investments while delivering connected, efficient and future-ready industrial zones that spur innovation, create good jobs, and drive inclusive long-term growth for the state and the nation.
