NST: PM-- Offices in Phase 2 states allowed to operate at capacity if at least 80pct workers vaccinated

KUALA LUMPUR: All offices in the private sector operating in states under Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) will be allowed to operate under certain conditions starting Sept 17.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said offices in the private sector would be allowed to operate in full capacity if 80 per cent of their workforce had been fully vaccinated.

"For the private sector which have 60 per cent of their workforce fully inoculated, their offices can resume operations with a capacity of not more than 80 per cent.

"The private sector which only have 40 per cent of their workforce fully vaccinated can only resume operation of their office with a capacity of 60 per cent," he said in a statement today.

Transport vehicles for workers would be allowed to operate in full capacity provided that their passengers have been fully vaccinated.

The prime minister also announced that the Special Committee on Covid-19 Pandemic Management, which met today, had also allowed factories producing furniture operating in states under Phase Two of the NRP to resume operations.
