Dialogue Session with Aerospace Industry Players at SIBS 2025
After officiating the 10th Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC), I attended a dialogue session with key players in the aerospace industry to strengthen collaboration between the state government and the sector.
Selangor, which hosts nearly half of Malaysia’s aerospace workforce, continues to grow as the nation’s aerospace hub through initiatives such as the Selangor Aero Park at KLIA Aeropolis. The session provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas and explore collaboration across the aerospace, semiconductor, and technology sectors; all essential drivers of innovation and sustainable growth in Selangor.
Through initiatives like the Selangor Aerospace Summit 2025 (SAS 2025), the state is actively creating more job opportunities, attracting strategic investments, and strengthening partnerships with corporate stakeholders and the Federal Government.
Recognising the importance of certification and technical skills, Selangor is also scaling up hands-on training and real-world industry experience to build a highly skilled local workforce. These efforts aim to strengthen local talent pipelines and position Selangor as Malaysia’s leading hub for aerospace innovation and development.
