Over the past week, an average of 7.9 people were reported to have died of COVID-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 7.4, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.

"In the past, (medicine supply) was slow due to raw materials arriving late, sudden high demand and the Movement Control Order."

A total of 53 are in ICU with 35 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 12.9%.

Five fatalities were reported yesterday, of which two were declared dead on arrival (DOA), taking the death toll in the country to 35,816.
